NewSetup check and test notification. Before a study runs, the dashboard confirms participants, schedule, survey link, participant ID, completion tracking and consent, and can send a real test notification showing the survey link exactly as the participant's phone received it. A health banner then warns during the run when completions aren't arriving or participants can't receive notifications.
NewSurvey link builder. Paste your survey URL, pick your platform, and Samply adds the correct parameters with the right names for that tool. Malformed links are now flagged as you type and blocked on save.
NewDocumentation in 14 languages: a full troubleshooting guide covering every known failure and its fix, a survey tool compatibility table, and a "How to cite Samply" section — plus translations of every new interface string.
ImprovedCompliance figures are accurate and stable. Analytics default to the entire study instead of a rolling window, so counts no longer appear to shrink; a notification counts as answered whether the participant tapped it, opened it from their history, or the survey reported completion; schedule performance attributes sends correctly; and test notifications are excluded from all figures and exports.
ImprovedUndelivered notifications are detected and recovered. Samply reads delivery receipts, identifies participants whose device stopped accepting notifications after a reinstall or new phone, stops sending to dead devices, and restores them at their next login. Study links now also open the mobile app, making the public study QR code useful to people who don't have it installed yet.
FixPlaceholders, exports and security. Placeholder substitution now replaces every occurrence, URL-encodes values, and never sends an unfillable placeholder to your survey tool; link expiry works on API-triggered notifications and failed sends are recorded rather than disappearing; CSV exports are protected against spreadsheet formula injection and no longer omit rows; the status endpoint no longer creates orphaned records or accepts forged completions; and push tokens are no longer written back onto participants who left a study.

NewNotification check screen. Shows why notifications have stopped arriving — permission, device registration, whether the server knows this device, and when the last one came — with one-tap re-registration and guidance for Android battery optimisation.
NewStudy links open the app directly, going straight to the study instead of the browser.
NewHow to cite Samply on the About screen, including the app version, in 14 languages.
ImprovedResponses are no longer lost. Status events are saved on the device before being sent and retried until confirmed, so opening a survey on a poor connection no longer loses the record of it.
FixParticipant IDs are passed correctly in study links opened from inside the app: repeated placeholders are all replaced, values are URL-encoded, and unfillable ones are dropped rather than sent literally.
